Violet and Manny are a wonderful team!! Violet was very communicative and ensured that we got the experience we were looking for; a trip to see the Middle Caicos Blue Hole and some bottom fishing. My husband is a scientist and one of my sons is a environ. sci. major in college, so the holes are just fascinating to all of us. In addition, my guys love to fish, so we're we able to do both! We saw a pod of dolphins, a giant sea turtle, and a shark along the way. My family caught three barracuda, a grouper, a jack, and tons of snapper! After weeks wading Bottle Creek on North Caicos with some success I was persuaded by a friend to join him for a day on a guided skiff with Bonefish Middle Caicos - and what a day we had!

First up our skiff was unlike anything I’ve fished from before (and I’ve done a lot of bonefishing over the last 25 years). The boat has no sides, it’s just a gloriously flat casting platform and despite having a powerful 60 horses at the back not a single drop of water landed on the deck. Astonishing. Our guide Moose used this remarkable craft to take us to impossibly skinny flats to hunt for specimen bones and boy does Moose knows where to find them!

Our guide was more than happy to share his knowledge of bonefish, his thoughts and theories on their behaviour and I was more than happy to listen and take it all on board. Like the best guides Moose thinks like a fish but he also listens to his clients. My friend and me wanted to chase specimens and so he took us places where he knew we could find them. Had we wished to “bag up” instead as we say in Britain then he’d have taken us somewhere else, to an area with larger numbers of fish.

We had such a great day I’m certain I shall book Moose again on my next visit as North and Middle Caicos have so much more to offer than any DIY angler can manage on their own. If you’re going down that way I reckon you’d be crazy not to blow a few bucks on a day you won’t forget.

I went out today on the Chiquita flats boat out of Bellfield Landing on North Caicos.
Totally amazed ! At the shallow water capability of the Chiquita.
Moose who is a great knowledgeable guide very nice guy quickly got us way up into the creek systems of south side of North Caicos.
We soon found good numbers of bonefish
And I managed to catch several including a 26.5” one !! (See pictures) on the bone calculation scale 26” is 10.15lbs I also lost a one similar size !!!
Sadly our day was short as a storm system came in, However what great session with Moose & the Chiquita 👍🏼🎣👍🏼

I am a bonefish fanatic who is always looking to explore  new destinations. Went to fish with Capt Manny on his new Chiquita flats boat. Amazing skiff, can run on 6 inches of water. Manny knows the N Caos flats more than any others. We had a nice trip very good fishing and companionship. Manny is a great guy and good Bonefishing guide. We went bonefishing on Middle Caicos with Manny and my guide, Moose, in November 2024 after a week of DIY fishing with only a couple of chances — and what a difference! We saw hundreds of bonefish and caught around 10–12 in just a few hours.

Both guides were fantastic — super knowledgeable, easygoing, and knew exactly where to find the fish. It ended up being one of the best fishing experiences I’ve ever had.

Manny was a great guide…. Very knowledgeable about the tides and local waters.. Our trip to Southern Bush Bay was outstanding and we didn’t see another angler all day. The “Chiquita” tunnel/ flats boat got us to this remote flat with comfort and speed… Other than an Airboat, or very shallow drafted flats boat, this flat is inaccessible for many..I can’t imagine a better Bonefish experience in the TCI..

I have been out fishing with Manny several times over the past couple of years. He is a really knowledgeable captain. We have had some great days fishing with him, not only on bonefish but on the big barracudas. I’m back out again this November, so fingers crossed for some more fish!
